Individual Counselling — 50 minutes
This is a space made entirely for you. No agenda imposed from the outside, no predetermined path to follow. Individual sessions at Amae are a collaborative, person-centred process, shaped by your rhythm, your readiness, and what feels most alive or most stuck in your life right now.
We draw on an integrative approach, weaving together somatic awareness, trauma-informed practice, and talk therapy to meet you where you actually are. Whether you are navigating the aftermath of trauma, a moment of transition, questions of identity, or simply a feeling that something needs to shift, this work begins with one commitment: that you will be fully received, exactly as you come.
Sessions are 50 minutes and held online, welcoming English and French speaking clients across British Columbia.

Body Image & Self-Relationship
For many people, the most complicated relationship in their life is the one they have with themselves, with their body, with how they take up space, with the gap between who they are and who they have been told they should be.
This work sits at the intersection of identity, embodiment, and self-compassion. It is not about fixing how you see yourself, it is about understanding where that image came from, what it has been protecting, and what becomes possible when you begin to meet yourself with the same openness you might offer someone you love.
Body image work at Amae is always held with gentleness, without judgement, and at a pace that feels safe. It can be the central focus of our work together, or one thread within a broader process, whatever serves you most.

Sometimes the most profound work is learning to truly see the person beside you and to let yourself be seen in return.
Couples counselling at Amae is rooted in the same philosophy as our individual work: safety first, no one made smaller, and the relationship itself treated as something worth understanding rather than simply fixing. Whether you are navigating disconnection, a major transition, or patterns that keep pulling you apart, this is a space where both of you can arrive fully and, begin the work of finding your way back to each other.

Accessibility is not an afterthought at Amae — it is part of the commitment. Virtual sessions, flexible scheduling, and sliding scale availability exist because this work should be within reach for the people who need it most.
